Your Products & Suppliers
This article provides an overview of Pi's Inventory module, touching on the different options available within the Product and Supplier areas. When accessing this module, you have the options to view your Suppliers or Products.

The number of System suppliers and User managed suppliers (including those disabled). System suppliers
User managed suppliers

Search functions to filter by suppliers available on a site basis, supplier type and whether they are enabled or disabled. | |
Provides accreditation certificates for system suppliers (can be downloaded). | |

Icons will appear for each of the below based on set up. Following the icons from left to right, this section shows:

Edit - allows you to enable/disable products showing in different Pi modules, view supplier's accreditations (system suppliers only) and set up accounts (user-managed suppliers only). Delete - allows you to delete a supplier (user-managed suppliers only), as long as products within have no links to recipes, stock history, orders or invoicing. |
System managed supplier products will show in Inventory from the first time they are invoiced (providing there are in the supplier's catalogue). These cannot be deleted due to invoicing history.

Search for products using the search text field or the provided filter drop-downs. | |
Allows you to add single products to user-managed suppliers. | |
Drop-down providing the ability to download listed products (based on search criteria), import products in bulk for user-managed suppliers, and manage products included in PPDS recipes with Pi's Piranha module. | |
This section shows listed products, including:

Edit - open a product to...
X - appears against user-managed products - allows a product to be deleted, providing it has no links to recipes, stock history, orders or invoicing. |
System managed suppliers - product information is obtained from supplier catalogues; a price with a green tick confirms the product is contracted/price agreed; if using Pi's Purchase Coding module, you can view nominals. User-managed suppliers - it is down to you to manage these.
