Your Products & Suppliers


Creating user-managed suppliers and products is really quick and simple. By doing this, you can use these alongside your system suppliers. Remember to ensure all information against the supplier and products are up-to-date and accurate.

Creating User-Managed Suppliers

  1. Select the Inventory module from the left-hand navigation bar
  2. Select Suppliers
  3. Select Add new supplier
  4. Enter supplier details in the text fields (VAT number and Supplier address are not required if you only need products for use in Pitstop and/or Piranha)
  5. Click Create
  6. View the Inventory Overview article for more information on the Suppliers page

Creating User-Managed Products - Single Additions

  1. From the Suppliers page, select Manage products (alternatively, select the Inventory module from the left-hand navigation bar and select Products)
  2. Select New product
  3. Use the drop-downs and text fields to enter the product information (optional information: category; nominal code; allergens; nutrition; ingredient labelling (PPDS); and images - are dependant on modules in use and the information required)
  4. Click Save changes
  5. Use the search functions to find the product
  6. View the Inventory Overview article for more information on the Products page 

Creating User-Managed Products - Bulk Additions

  1. From the Suppliers page, select Manage products (alternatively, select the Inventory module from the left-hand navigation bar and select Products)
  2. Use the Tools drop-down and select Import products
  3. Select to Download template Excel file (these are downloaded to your web browser's default 'downloads' file)
  4. Within the file, using the example in row 2, add the product information (delete row 2 before saving to ensure this is not uploaded and save the Excel file in the most suited location)
  5. Back in Pi, use the Select a supplier drop-down to find and choose the relevant user-managed supplier
  6. Click Upload product list file (select the file from the chosen saved location)
  7. Pending products to be added/amended will be listed
  8. Select Import
  9. Click Yes to return to the product list page
  10. Use the search functions to find the products
  11. View the Inventory Overview article for more information on the Products page
  12. Click Edit on each product to add any further data, such as: category; nominal code; allergens; nutrition; ingredient labelling (PPDS); and so on (dependant on modules in use and the information required) - view the Managing Products article to learn more on editing products
