Supplier Issues Tracking
The Supplier Issues Tracking report shows all notes added against an invoice or delivery, helping to monitor and track supplier issues and SLAs. Use the available search functions to filter and find recorded notes before downloading. You can view further details by expanding each line, and also manually record issues by selecting the New supplier issue button located top-right of the page:
Accruals Analysis
The Accruals Analysis report works best when using Pi's Purchase Coding and Deliveries modules. This report can help provide a clearer idea of what has been purchased, ordered and delivered with accruals showing for each. Use the available drop-downs to select your search criteria and view the available data:
Stock Wastage Tracking
The Stock Wastage Tracking report is based on the advanced side of Pi's Pitstop module. Recording wastage helps analyse stock checks. This report shows line wastage details for all sites, including the total costs lost. Use the search functions to change your search criteria before downloading:
This report includes a Coding Summary based on the recorded wastage.
Order/Invoice Matching
The Order/Invoice Matching report is a really useful tool that can help report on what has been ordered and invoiced. This works by matching order PO's to their related invoice. Use the search functions to set your criteria, and the Unmatched orders drop-down to help find any gaps:
This report will automatically filter to show Invoiced not ordered (invoices received but no matched orders found). You can also view... | |
Ordered not invoiced - orders placed but not yet invoiced: | Order matched to invoice - orders placed and invoiced: |
This report requires all orders to be placed through Pi's Cherry Pi module.
Food Waste
Food waste is simply weighed at the end of service, or the end of the day, and the amount is entered into the Food waste tool. Using this tool makes it easier for you to monitor and limit food waste across your operation, which will reduce your costs and help you reach your financial and sustainability goals. By accurately recording what is being wasted across your organisation - and the total cost of that waste - you can look to adjust your supplier orders and improve kitchen efficiencies.
Using this tool will help you...
Easily record cooked food and trim food waste. | Quickly and accurately calculate the cost of that food waste. | Get an overview of food waste costs across your organisation within a specified date range. |
Track your progress towards a wastage reduction goal. | Discover food waste prevention opportunities. | Reduce food purchase costs. |
Reduce your organisation's carbon footprint. |
Before using the Food waste tool, you are required to set up the following items:
- Food waste area(s)
- Food waste reason(s)
- Food type(s)
- Food container(s)
Your organisation's SuperUser(s) will be required to set up these waste tools. Contact the Pi Helpdesk if your organisation requires a SuperUser.
Food Waste Dashboard |
Recorded waste will be shown on the Food Waste dashboard. Here, you can use the Search options (left-hand side) to search for recorded waste. Under the Food waste records section, you can view the wastage value recorded so far, plus each individual record. Any notes added can be viewed by hovering over the Notes icon. Records can be deleted and also downloaded. |
Recipe Waste |
Use the pre-defined drop-downs based on your set up items that fit best with the recorded wastage. Using recipes you have created in Pi's Piranha module, select the Recipe waste option under Waste type and search for the recipe this relates to. When selecting the relevant Container and entering the value for Mass including container (g), Pi will calculate the wasted Portions amount and provide a wastage Calculated cost. Alternatively, if whole portions are lost due to incorrect cooking, or overproduction, the number of those portions can be entered. If a recipe photo has been added this will show, plus (if you like) you can add any notes relating to this record. |
Trim Waste |
Use the pre-defined drop-downs based on your set up items that fit best with the recorded wastage. Select the Trim waste option under Waste type and choose the Food type item from the drop-down. When selecting the relevant Container and entering the value for Mass including container (g), Pi will calculate and provide a wastage Calculated cost. If you like, you can add any notes relating to this record. |
If any of these food tools require adjusting, your organisation's SuperUser(s) can do this when recording a new wastage.
Further developments on this tool are planned to add some additional graphs which will help show how waste is reducing each month in key areas. Plus - equally important - it will also calculate the savings an organisation is enjoying, from reducing the volume of food that goes in the bin.
