Menu Management
The Manage allergens tab within a recipe is used to view allergen information for the related recipe. If required, the 14 main allergens can be adjusted. This article will explain how using this tab can benefit further allergen control.

How To
When creating or editing a recipe, select the Manage allergens tab. All allergen items are listed with a Calculated value, based on data from all ingredients and sub-recipes in the recipe itself. If required, you can use the Override option to set an alternative value. By doing this, the Effective value will update to reflect the new changes. This feature is especially helpful if there may be any cross-contamination in kitchens.
When you override allergen information you are doing so only in the context of the recipe - your changes do NOT effect the source ingredients or any other recipes that they may be associated with.
All changes will be displayed in the Allergens panel, including who made the changes and when. Amended allergens will be shown with an orange tab in the top-right corner.
