Using Pi's Recipe Orders you can order the products you need to make your recipes. With only 3 steps involved, it really is now as easy as 1…2…3! If you do not yet have access to Recipe Orders, contact the Pi Helpdesk and request for Recipe ordering to be added to your profile.

Getting Started

  1. Select the Piranha module from the left-hand navigation bar
  2. Select Recipe Orders
  3. Click Create new order

Step 1: Select

In this step you need to choose the recipes you would like to order, and then decide how many portions you would like to make.

  1. Select a site
  2. Use the available Search field to search for your recipes
  3. Select More options to use the pre-defined filters based on your Classification labels and Tags
  4. Click Add to the right of the recipes that you wish to order products for - this will create a Your order panel to the right-hand side
  5. Amend the servings required in the available Servings field for each recipe added - this will take the cost per servings (based on the created recipe), and provide the total cost based on the cost per serving and entered serving amounts
  6. When ready, select Create supplier orders

Step 2: Evaluate

In this step, you can review the required product quantities by supplier, and examine costs - amending as required.

  1. Select the '+' icons to expand the supplier orders
  2. Review each product line, focussing on the Excess column
  3. Remove any products not required for ordering
  4. If required, amend any quantities (these will automatically be calculated for you based on the servings previously entered)
  5. Based on the account set up, select Send to Cherry Pi to create a new order, or click Download to download the order list to send directly to the supplier
  6. Select Delete to remove a suggested order you do not need
The Excess column will advise how much of a product will be used for the required servings, and how much will be left as excess. It could be a good idea to check stock and see what you currently have to use before ordering more - helping you save on costs.

Key:
Blue = will be used
Orange = excess

For any suppliers that do not have an account set up for Cherry Pi ordering (including any User-Managed suppliers), you can download the orders instead.
For any products that are not included on an agreed price file, you will be alerted that these cannot be ordered.
Recipe Ordering can help you manage recipes by identifying old products in recipes, or those that need to be added to your agreed price file. Your Account Manager can help with any product additions.
All products require pack sizes and measurements in order for these to be calculated for your orders.

Orders will show as Submitted when clicking Send to Cherry Pi - this does not mean they have been sent.

Select the Cherry Pi module from the left-hand navigation bar and you will find your order in a Building status. Then simply follow Step 3.

Step 3: Send

The final step is where you can view your orders in Cherry Pi, reviewing and editing before sending to your suppliers.

  1. Within the Cherry Pi module, click Continue on the order you have recently created
  2. Make any final adjustments
  3. If you need to order any other products, add them to your basket(s)
  4. From here, follow the usual process to send your orders - the below articles will help you should you need

Recipes Orders can help you create orders for recipes containing user-managed products. You will need to have these suppliers set up first and have created accounts for supplier ordering.
